Mandalas are Spirtual Rituals and the word comes from Sanskrit meaning circle. It is our relationships of Self and the Universe, and the whole circle is the container of the Universe and we are a point within that. Mandalas, are used for therapuetic work and bringing deeper understandings of the relationship we have with the Elements. The Mandala is the Medicine Wheel, as both serve in the same way. In my work, I have brought together the integration of the Mandala and Medicine Wheel and use this work with a view of deep healing to occur in a therapuetic way, but also as an awakening to consciousness.

A fusional Therapuetic Fire Ceremony, drawn from my experiences of Fire Ceremonies from around the Globe. I have found intuitive ways, of working with the element of fire, and connecting ceremony and rituals with offerings based on the nature of the Yajna. People have found these amazingly powerful and have noticed 'shifts' that they have experienced as a result. Recently, my Pele Yajna, was working with the Goddess using Shamanic Practices in relation to the Fire. All about entering the depths of our psyche, burning away all that was not needed. Done at the Astrological New Moon in Aries, with various planets in retrograde, so a good time of transformation, connecting to the Goddess (feminine) and deep passion and dynamic traits. This is a huge area when we think about it, so where does one start? Here I would like to just focus on boundaries of ones ethical status in terms of Awarding Bodies, Training and Insurance. The reason for this blog in the first place is because of a number of observed incidences in operation, So an Awarding Body is there to:
Insurances It is amazing to see that some people will try and escape having insurance, but it is there to protect all sides! We all hear about the driver's for example who drove a car without insurance and then went and crashed causing injury. The irresponsibility in the first place, of driving without insurance is the negative aspect. In just the same way we have heard cases of therapists not insuring themselves. Training and Experience If one make claims of being trained or experienced in anything, they could potentially invalidate their insurance and loose their membership status. It took me 5 years to train as a psychotherapist, 3 years for hypnotherapy and 2 years as a life coach. On top of that I have trained in the Spiritual arts with Masters from around the World, such as Akashic Records Training, Shamanic Practitioner Training and Aurora Training, amongst various others. If you have had experiences of anything around these concerns, it is important to notify the relevant bodies eg Awarding Body, Training School etc. Generally most people will work ethically and safely, however, you will find that we get a bad apple every so often and it can be upsetting and unsettling for the rest of us! Please feel free to comment and share this blog. Jaz @ Transpersonal Akash ![]() Shivaratri is a name for an all night trance meditative experience! The roots of this go back to Hinduism and the God Shiva whose domain is 'Transformation', all beginnings and all endings. (I will come back to this below). First of all let me explain the traditional celebration, this consists of performing a ritual called an Abhishek, (ritual) this is all about purification of the transformation. It is done in honour of the God Shiva but ultimately for our own self. Some people will observe a fast and in particular a veg diet a must, a holy bath, prayers and puja at sunrise, and then continuously from sunset. Plays will be performed and other 'Shiva' related experiences, such at the Shiva Trance Dance; some even smoke Shiva Herbs! To encounter the altered state. Once the rituals are performed and Arti is done after mantras, then it is important to go into a hypnotic trance for the rest of the evening/night - a journey through the darkness. A Dark Night, on a Moonless night (no light)........... an ancient consciousness that holds keys to our levels of darkness, for we do have different levels and layers. The snake here that Shiva has round his neck, is that consciousness, the shedding of the skin (transformation). Going deep and deep and deeper beyond.......... I'm sure you may have heard of the phrase 'darkest before dawn' ? This is a real test of that phrase, for you will be tested in you trance journey, and the challenges that will be overcome. Over the years from my own personal experiences, I have had abreactions, memories surfacing, letting go, deeper understanding in the deeper truths. You may even have revelations and premonitions. However, the longer you can persevere, in this journey, the better results, and you will see the dawn awakening, you will see the light arriving after the darkness. Being a therapist, for me this experience is all about Awakening to Consciousness and Healing. So I take the healing experience to follow through in that way. I have led clients 1:1 through this and have done group workshops during this night. Three years ago a group of healers participated at my house and all reported amazing results afterwards. This is where you can work on a specific thing that you want to change in your life, is it health? more money? career direction? Whatever the issue, do you feel you have the commitment and responsibility? We can even ask for help in crisis and global situations, this year I am conducting a fire ceremony and have other participants that will help and we are working with Intentions to support and the Soiux tribe and for a reversal on the dakota pipeline decision. This is the transformation we want. The new beginning comes after endings, and sometimes we have to close doors, chapters on things before we can call in the new beginning. After all, we have to create space for it, don't we? So we have to be prepared that this is what we want, whether small or big! Sometimes you will find that you have been able to work on one part of the piece of jigsaw, and this will enable to continue the work as some things are on ongoing journey for some time. Shiva in Hinduism is regarded as the first Yogi/Guru of the Universe, he was there in the Beginning, he is the beginning and he will be there at the end, he is the Ending. We can call on his assistance and guidance to help us through. I would welcome feedback and hoped you enjoyed reading. I would like to give advance thanks and gratitude to all those participating in this year's project with me> I have people doing African drumming, Punjabi Tablas, Moving Prayer, Shamanic Drumming, Gongs playing, Fire ceremonies, including a Sufi prayer, my list is growing. This is happening globally from each person's own premises. They will be linking into the global celebration and transformation! Lots of Love Jaswinder With the Power of New Moon in Libra and the Navratri (Nine Nights of the Goddess), this is a powerful time of an upsurge in energy of the Divine Feminine.
She is the Goddess Venus, of Beauty, Arts,Legalities, Balance, Relationships and our own Self Worth. She is the ruler of Libra, and currently in libra, with us also being in the Libra period, the theme is very much about Libran issues. So for the next 28 days, a good time to work on the Feminine issues of our life in relation to the above themes. If we are looking at the overall planetary influence, then, we need to look at our Worth in both our relationship with our self and with others. Is there an area/s where we are fooling ourselves? In denial maybe of the reality? Now is the time when feelings about relationships, whether personal or business will be surfacing and we are called to make decisions, even though, Libra is indecisive and hesitant, now you can harness the power of the Navratri Goddess period to support you in breaking out of old habits in relationships. Also, a good time to start new relationships, and look at what beauty is really about. In conjunction to this see my other blog on Navratri. The Divine Feminine work is not only for females, it is for men too. In India, Men accompany their families to Temples to fulfil Pilgrimages and do Puja to the Goddess. The Goddess is our Mother Earth, a great time to give it more respect than ever before! © Jazzaro - Transpersonal Akash Navratri means nine nights of paying homage to the Goddess in her nine forms. She is Durga, the Goddess that has immense Shakti for all victory over negative forces a strength, this starts and continues till the tenth day (Dasarah, or Desserah). Tenth day is also Navratum the compound experience. There are three main Goddesses and these consciousness are further broken down to individual names for each night. However, the main three that will be identified with are Durga, (Victory), Laxshmi (Wealth), Saraswati (Knowledge and Arts). Puja (worship) is done each night, with rituals and ceremonial practices.
Adorning and showering the Goddess with love and devotion through, devotional Rangolis, Mantras, Kirtan, offerings etc. Families and communities come together and apply henna, buy new clothes, and give each other gifts extending the love of the Goddess to each other. During this time a lot of therapeutic things can be done and achieved, because it is a time of victory, manifestation and achievement! In India the following colours are observed as auspicious on those days. Navratri Day 1 - Grey Navratri Day 2 - Orange Navratri Day 3 - White Navratri Day 4 - Red Navratri Day 5 - Royal Blue Navratri Day 6 - Yellow Navratri Day 7 - Green Navratri Day 8 - Peacock Green Navratri Day 9 - Purple If you would like to connect to the Goddess on each day, I suggest using a candle from the colours for each day, and playing a mantra from the link below, and go into your own meditation and observe your feelings, write down things if you need to and enjoy the experience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji6h4EbGLUA Jai Ho Mata Di Hail The Divine Goddess Many stories have been told by different Cultures and Faiths on the polarities of Light and Dark. It is an experience of all Souls, for what is our Darkness is what leads us back to our Light. It is the Journey of Consciousness. Sometimes our Light can be very dim, hence we experience low mood, ill health and blockages in our pathway, this is our challenge. The above quote is very poignant, in this journey. In India Festival of Lights, came about as a Victorious outcome in a Journey that Ram (an Avatar) had to endure. He had such a battle with the dark forces, and even at times when he thought it was over, more would come and challenge him. But he had to carry on against all odds, for his wife, his love, Sita, who had been captured by the Demon King Ravan. As he followed the Path of Satyagraha, and followed in Rightousness Dharma, he was victorious, hence the divya lights that light his path on his return with Sita. Sita too earned her Status of Divine Goddess by following the path of Satyagrah, walking in her truth and not allowing her fears to deviate her into the charms and offers made by Ravan. Stories, like this are examples to learn from and find comfort and solace, because the very fact that we are here on the Earth, is to make our Darkness into Light! The Light will be as Bright as you want it to be! ~ Jaz Challi As a psychotherapist, my work is all about, helping and supporting in the Consciousness states and working with peoples darkness. My last Retreat to India, also had this as a focus, as we arrived in Jaipur for Diwali, and ended in Varanasi for Ekadasi festival of Light. I love doing 'Light' Projects around the time of Diwali as it taps into the energy of Light that is being celebrated around the world and this has an integration of alchemy tied in. So look out for our Diwali Specials! © Jazzaro ~ Transpersonal Akash
Many a time when in families their has been a rift between brother and sister, it has once more strengthened the bond and brought them together putting aside differences and forgiving. A wonderful opportunity of healing. The ceremony is carried out with a Thali of sacred items including a tea light candle, or Indian style wick, with sweets and sacred red powder for the third eye, (soul /spiritual awareness and consciousness awakening) A blessing is given to the brother for protection in his life always by the Gods and as a kind gesture the brother is he wants to often honors this ceremony by giving the sister a gift. If a brother does not have a sister, in Indian families a cousin is considered a sister and therefore the cousin can do this. Moving into modern timesThese days you will find that although the brother is first and foremost, the tying of the Rakhi has extended further to other relationships, nephews, uncles, sons and even sisters, or friends. I have often tied this sacred thread on men I have got to know who don't have a sister, or whom I've invited to enter into a brother / sister bondage.
As we continue to evolve and expand, it is now quite common, that the Raksha Bandan can be done on anyone as a sacred ceremony, as long as it is done as a ceremonial ritual it will manifest the intention. Happy Raksha Bandan - 18 August 2016 I will add more pictures to this post later. Affected by the war? Being displaced? Past Abuse?
Whatever the issue maybe, it could be relevant to getting some Soul Healing through Regression Therapy. My parents were displaced children as a result of the Punjab split, during the time of Independence from the British. It followed on, that I later also encountered a separation wound to my origins and culture when having to leave everything at an age of 18 months. These type of incidences can have a scarring effect on our energy. In Vedic terms these are called 'Samskaras'. If we don't heal and clear these Samskaras, they will create an energy of their own and sometimes the effects of their 'acting out' can be detrimental. They can be the driving force getting us into unwanted situations, or be the blockage that we don't want. Leaving one Country and Culture can be a huge trauma in ones life, being in your own Country and being 'Oppressed', by another Country and Culture can also be devasting. Many Asian families and many families around the World, are carrying wounds of the British Raj. Many suffered all sorts of injustices and even became victims of murder. If your family have a traumatic effect in the lineage, then some Regression Therapy is a must. Because if you don't it could be what keeps affecting your descendants in the future, so why not take responsibility and begin to resolve it now? Inner Child - An interesting area, as we all have had a childhood, good, bad, or ugly! The Child that we once were, is still there and always will be, how we move forward can be the decision the Inner Child makes! I love doing Inner Child work, because in my own journey, this is one area that gave me immense empowerment in becoming who I truly am. I have been teaching Inner Child modules via my teaching now for two decades, with workshops topping it up and including it in my Retreat work too. Over the years, many students have immensely abbreacted and like myself found the key to their liberation. I have been blessed and honoured to work with so many people and their experiences of their Inner Child. Majority of the time when students come to learn the Regression Modules, they are surprised that Inner Child, is part of it, or even that such a thing exists. However once they have experienced it, even though it may have been the most painful module, it has become the most powerful module and the breakthrough they were looking for. For me this work is such a passion, and so rewarding in seeing the changes and progression in my students/clients. This is one my Group Retreat Workshops that was held in Fawler, Oxfordshire - 13 August 2016 If you would like to participate in future workshops please register your details on the contact page. You can also have a 1:1 session please state your preferences. © All rights reserved ~ JazSaro @ Transpersonal Akash |
